May E. Gardiner, 91, died peacefully on Tuesday, January 24, 2012, at Hetzel Care Center in Bloomer.
She was born in Portage, WI, on May 3, 1920, the only daughter of Harland and Jessie (O’Neil) Topping. She married Cyril L. Rumann on March 16, 1941, in Portage. He passed away in 1976. May later married Dean M. Gardiner on March 9, 1978, in Portage. He passed away in 2002.
May is survived by one son, Larry (Carol) Rumann of Cheyenne, WY; a daughter, Marcia Koeppel of New Auburn, WI; four grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her two husbands; son-in-law, Gene Koeppel.
Private services will be held at a later date.
Chippewa Valley Cremation Services is serving the family.
